Promotional activities making significant impact as regards promoting community wellbeing in Sel’a sub-zone
Health professionals in Sel’a sub-zone said that promotional activities being conducted towards raising communal awareness are making significant impact as regards promoting the wellbeing of nationals in the locality.
Sel’a, 14 June 2014 – Health professionals in Sel’a sub-zone said that promotional activities being conducted towards raising communal awareness are making significant impact as regards promoting the wellbeing of nationals in the locality.
They also expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm being demonstrated by mothers regarding antenatal and postnatal care as well as prevention of communicable disease in general and that of malaria in particular.
Mr. Zemenfes Gebreleul, head of a health station in the sub-zone, said that thanks to the integrated and active collaboration of health representatives in village and Administrative areas, the incidence of malaria infection in the area has shown decline.
Likewise, Ahmedin Hamd Haji, Associate nurse, noted that the awareness of the community regarding health issues vis-à-vis disease prevention and proper taking of medicines.
Ms. Kedija Osman and Ms. Yirgalem Tesfalem, maternity nurses in the health station, disclosed that child and mother health could be secured through proper medical checkup of pregnant mothers and higher popular awareness to this end.
