Bologna Festival integral component of Eritrean people’s history and generations; Coordinators of 4oth Anniversary

The Coordinators of the 40th Anniversary of Bologna Festival underlined that the event constitutes an integral component of the Eritrean people’s history and generations.

Asmara, 16 June 2014 – The Coordinators of the 40th Anniversary of Bologna Festival underlined that the event constitutes an integral component of the Eritrean people’s history and generations.

The Coordinators pointed out that extensive preparation have been made for the event. They further indicated that community camps representing Eritrean nationals residing in the UK, Germany, Italy, Holland and Sweden would feature that highlight Eritrean cultural heritage, besides bequeathing the Eritrean culture and values to young generation.

Among the Coordinators, Mr. Tedros Goitom, Mr. Yared Tesfai and Mr. Sirak Bahlibi, underscored that Bologna Festival played paramount role in strengthening the armed struggle for independence. In this connection, they stated that special focus would be made at the Festival in an exhibition so as to highlight the exemplary role Eritrean mothers residing in Italy played in treating wounded freedom fighters. A magazine would also be published and website launched for timely information in connection with the event, they added.
