The inhabitants of Geleb sub-zone have extended labor support to families of martyrs. The communal campaigns involve tilling of farmland in connection with Martyrs Day.
Geleb, 18 June, 2014 – The inhabitants of Geleb sub-zone have extended labor support to families of martyrs. The communal campaigns involve tilling of farmland in connection with Martyrs Day.
The participants of the campaigns stated that patronizing families of fallen heroes is the responsibility of all citizens, and called on fellow community members to emulate such practice.
Mr. Sheik Ali Biemnet, Administrator of Geleb Administrative area, and Mr. Mohammed-Nur Osman, head of the PFDJ branch office in the sub-zone, said that such initiative would continue until the end of the Autumn season.
The beneficiary families indicated that their livelihood could be improved through such support on the part of the government and the people.
Meanwhile, farmers in Emberemi Administrative area, Masswa sub-zone, are engaged in the tilling of families of martyrs’ farmland through mobilizing labor and a total of 50 pair of oxen daily.
The farmers indicated that the initiative is part of the endeavors they have been exerting on annual basis to support families of fallen heroes, and assured that they would continue engaging in such an undertaking.
