The Administrator of Senafe sub-zone, Mr. Hizkias Wuhbet, indicated that stepped-up efforts are being exerted in a bid to meet the growing demand for potable water supply in the town.
Senafe, June 2014 – The Administrator of Senafe sub-zone, Mr. Hizkias Wuhbet, indicated that stepped-up efforts are being exerted in a bid to meet the growing demand for potable water supply in the town.
He also pointed out that potable water supply for the town could be secured through upgrading electricity service from 6 to 18 hours daily so as to store water in containers over the past five months, and that endeavors would be sustained for more gratifying outcome to this end.
Mr. Mehari Alazar, head of development in the town, disclosed that the putting in place of two wells around Afoma Micro-dam are making significant impact as regards securing potable water supply, in addition to the two water reservoirs that had been constructed in the center of the urban center.
The residents expressed satisfaction with the initiative taken by the government to put in place such service facilities.
