Veteran fighter Col. Kidane Mietelka passes away
Veteran fighter Col. Kidane Mietelka, who has been undergoing medical treatment inside the country and abroad, passed away yesterday at Khartoum Hospital, Sudan, at the age of 76.
Asmara, 21 June 2014 – Veteran fighter Col. Kidane Mietelka, who has been undergoing medical treatment inside the country and abroad, passed away yesterday at Khartoum Hospital, Sudan, at the age of 76.
The late Col. Kidane joined the People’s Liberation Forces in 1975 and served in various capacities, including leadership role in various departments of the EPLF.
The late veteran fighter served with commitment in various training units of the Armed Forces and Staff Administration of the EDF following the attainment of independence.
The late Col. Kidane is married and father of 8 children.
The funeral service of the departed fighter would be conducted tomorrow at 4:00 PM at the Patriots Ceremony in the capital.
