Residents of Arbaete-Asmara engage in popular campaigns

The residents of Arbaete-Asmara sub-zone, in collaboration with members of the People’s Army, are engaged in popular campaigns involving construction of terraces and digging holes for tree seedlings on the basis of higher enthusiasm.

Asmara, 25 June 2014 – The residents of Arbaete-Asmara sub-zone, in collaboration with members of the People’s Army, are engaged in popular campaigns involving construction of terraces and digging holes for tree seedlings on the basis of higher enthusiasm.

Ms. Hiwet Mogos, Administrator of the sub-zone, said that the community members are carrying out the undertakings in an organized manner which was conducted for five weeks.

The participants of the popular campaigns pointed out that they are participating in the undertaking before the onset of the rainy season and the Students’ Summer Work Program. They further expressed conviction that the initiative would make due contribution in facilitating the program.

The residence also asserted readiness to step up participation in the realization of the mapped out development programs in their locality.
