15 families rehabilitated in Hagaz and Mai-Aieni sub-zones

Reports indicated that a total of 15 families of martyrs and others engaged in patronization of orphans have been rehabilitated with 30,000 Nakfa each.

Hagaz, 27 June 2014 – Reports indicated that a total of 15 families of martyrs and others engaged in patronization of orphans have been rehabilitated with 30,000 Nakfa each.

Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, head of social service in Hagaz sub-zone, indicated that the program is part of the continued initiatives taken in this regard, besides stating that the number of the beneficiary families stands at 9.

The rehabilitated families said that they would strive to improve their livelihood taking the support as a steppingstone.

Mr. Girmai Bokretsion, Head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Anseba region, explained that a total of 12 million Nakfa has been paid to families of martyrs in Hagaz sub-zone over the past 5 months in line with government scheme, while 1.2 million Nakfa was also extended supporting such families.

He also disclosed that more than 50 families which are engaged in patronization of orphans have been rehabilitated separately with 30,000 Nakfa, and that the program is due to continue in the rest of the sub-zones of the region.

Meanwhile, Mr. Misgina Fisehaye, head of the Ministry Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Mai-Aeini sub-zone, said that each of the 6 families of fallen heroes from the locality was rehabilitated in livestock worth 30,000 Nakfa.
