Asmara Technical School graduates a total of 204 students

Asmara Technical School has graduated a total of 204 students including 78 females who have been attending 2-year certificate courses in various domains.

Asmara, 27 June 2014 – Asmara Technical School has graduated a total of 204 students including 78 females who have been attending 2-year certificate courses in various domains.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Yohanes Eyasu, Director of the school, indicated that the students graduated in Auto Mechanics, Construction, Surveying, Drafting, Electricity, Electronics, General Metal Work, as well as Wood and Metal Works. He also stated that the government is working on priority basis towards promoting vocational education, and called on the graduates to translate the knowledge and skill knowhow they have acquired into practice through additional work experience.

Likewise, Mr. Measho Gebretinsae from the Ministry of Education pointed out that stepped-up efforts are being exerted with a view to raising the number and excellence of technical schools. He also expressed appreciation for the active participation being demonstrated by the graduates from the school in the nation-building process.

A representative of the graduates lauded the input made by parents and instructors as regards encouraging their academic pursuit.

The graduates reiterated readiness to back up the implementation of national development programs through the skill knowhow they have acquired.
