Northern Red Sea region: Mendelai Award conferred for to a total of 63 students who demonstrated academic excellence
Mendelai Award was conferred for the 3rd time to a total of 63 Grade 11 students in the Northern Red Sea region who demonstrated academic excellence.
Massawa, 27 June 2014 – Mendelai Award was conferred for the 3rd time to a total of 63 Grade 11 students in the Northern Red Sea region who demonstrated academic excellence.
Speaking at the ceremony thereof, Mr. Reshid Mohammed Osman, Head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, indicated that all of the previously awarded students numbering 30 were in a position to obtain passing mark in the National Matriculation Examinations in the years 2011 and 2012.
Mr. Idris Osman, head of the NUEYS branch in the region, said that the program is part of the endeavors being made by the government and the people with a view to nurturing dynamic youths, and that the number of awarded students has shown significant growth as opposed to that of the previous year. He also called on pertinent bodies to sustain input to this end.
Likewise, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, Chairman of the NUEYS, called on the students to sustain effort for still more gratifying academic achievements.
Mr. Kibrom Andemichael, Managing Director of the Administration of the Northern Red Sea region, asserted the Administration’s readiness to sustain collaboration with the students.
