Mendefera: Workshop organized on youth role in development and management

A workshop was organized in Mendefera city pertaining to the role of youths in national development programs, management and enhancing their contribution to mounting staunch resistance against external conspiracies.

Mendefera, 03 June 2014 – A workshop was organized in Mendefera city pertaining to the role of youths in national development programs, management and enhancing their contribution to mounting staunch resistance against external conspiracies.

Mr. Efrem Gebrekirstos, Administrator of the Southern region, gave briefings at the workshop focusing on the vital role the youth have demonstrated in the armed struggle for independence and safeguarding the nation’s dignity. He further noted the active participation of youths in national development programs. The regional Administrator further called on the youth to step up participation in State affairs.

Likewise, Mr. Girmai Gebru, Head of the NUEYS in the region, noted the role of the youth vis-à-vis the nation-building process, and urged them to sustain input on the basis of higher organization.
