NCEW exerting commendable efforts towards raising awareness and rights of workers

Reports indicated that the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers (NCEW) is exerting commendable efforts towards raising awareness of workers regarding law vis-à-vis their rights and responsibilities thereof.

Keren, 03 June 2014 – Reports indicated that the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers (NCEW) is exerting commendable efforts towards raising awareness of workers regarding law vis-à-vis their rights and responsibilities thereof.

It made the remark at a seminar with workers of various institutions in Keren city, during which Mr. Hamid Ibrahim, head of organization at the NCEW, stated that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted towards securing workers rights. He also said that the employers and employees are treated equally as far as the country’s Labor Law is concerned.

Also speaking at the seminar, Mr. Birhane Girmai, head of legal affairs, noted that the labor laws take into account the nation’s entire societal values.

Likewise, Mr. Kibreab Kidane, in charge of labor relations, explained that the NCEW is actively pursuing the task of ensuring workers rights and creating favorable working atmosphere.
