PFDJ official calls on branches of national Associations abroad to work on the basis of national forum
The Head of Political Affairs at the PFDJ, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, has called on the branches of national Associations abroad operating under the missions of the Foreign Ministry to work on the basis of national forum.
Asmara, 07 July 2014 – The Head of Political Affairs at the PFDJ, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, has called on the branches of national Associations abroad operating under the missions of the Foreign Ministry to work on the basis of national forum. He made the remark at a meeting with the heads of PFDJ, NUEW and Eritrean communities abroad, as well as the YPFDJ which was conducted in connection with the commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of Bologna Festival.
The PFDJ official further underlined the vitality of formulating far-sighted visions and strategies by the branches of national organizations abroad, in addition to exerting increased efforts towards enhancing popular participation in State affairs and the national economy, as well as diplomatic activities. Mr. Yemane also disclosed that different activities are being conducted in the Homeland on the basis of programs so as to strengthen the People’s Front, and called on nationals inside the country and abroad to mount staunch resolve against external conspiracies.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Chairperson of the NUEW, Ms. Leul Gebreab, explained that the participation of members abroad in the putting in place of women’s training centers and other activities attests to the prevailing strong bond between them and the Homeland. She also outlined the progress of the training centers being constructed in various corners of the country by Union members in different states abroad, and called for the mounting of stepped-up endeavors targeting youths with a view to reinforcing the NUEW.
In this connection, reports indicated that seminars were conducted in connection with the Bologna Festival, including those pertaining to the archaeological findings at the historical site of Adulis which were headed by Italian experts.
