Southern region: Call made for providing quality social services

A call has been made on social service-rendering institutions in the Southern region to provide quality service to customers through making the necessary investment. It made the call at a workshop conducted in Mendefera city regarding the hosting of customers in Bars and Restaurants for employers and employees. It was stressed on the occasion that the revenue of institutions and salary of workers is highly affected by the hospitality they demonstrate at the workplace.

Mendefera, 08 July 2014 – A call has been made on social service-rendering institutions in the Southern region to provide quality service to customers through making the necessary investment. It made the call at a workshop conducted in Mendefera city regarding the hosting of customers in Bars and Restaurants for employers and employees. It was stressed on the occasion that the revenue of institutions and salary of workers is highly affected by the hospitality they demonstrate at the workplace.

Mr. Yohanes Asgedom, head of license and inspection in the region, said that the workshop is part of the endeavors being made by the Ministry of Tourism, and stated that it would make significant impact to this end.

Mr. Abraham Tewolde from the Ministry of Tourism equally called on the social service-rendering institutions to reflect correct image of the Eritrean cultural values through providing quality service.

The participants of the workshop expressed satisfaction with the initiative and called on the Ministry of Tourism to sustain collaboration with them.
