Anseba region: Shallot Award given to a total of 37 students who demonstrated academic excellence

Reports indicated that Shallot Award was given for the 8th time to a total of 37 Grade 11students, 9 of whom are females, in Anseba region who demonstrated academic excellence.

Keren, 10 July 2014 – Reports indicated that Shallot Award was given for the 8th time to a total of 37 Grade 11students, 9 of whom are females, in Anseba region who demonstrated academic excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hagos Adhana, head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, pointed out that the program is organized jointly with the Education Ministry and the NUEYS every year with a view to motivating the students for more gratifying outcome and giving recognition to their achievements.

Ms. Selam Tesfamariam, head of the NUEYS in the region, stated on her part that the mission of the Union is to nurture dynamic youth. Moreover, she called on the students to sustain effort for still more gratifying academic achievement.

Likewise, Mr. Abdulahi Al-Amin, Director General of social service in the region, noted the role of youths in the nation-building process, and urged them to enhance role in national development endeavors.
