Youth Week conducted in Barentu sub-zone with zeal

Youth Week was conducted in Barentu sub-zone in collaboration with the NUEYS local branch with a view to promoting youth potential as regards sports, culture, education and artists, as well as favoring exchange of experience, virtue of discipline, spirit of competition and harmony among them.

Barentu, 10 July 2014 – Youth Week was conducted in Barentu sub-zone in collaboration with the NUEYS local branch with a view to promoting youth potential as regards sports, culture, education and artists, as well as favoring exchange of experience, virtue of discipline, spirit of competition and harmony among them.

Mr. Mebrahtom Gebrehiwet, chairman of youth workers in the sub-zone, pointed out that the organization has been working towards raising the production capacity and nurturing the culture of work among youths, besides inspiring sports activities. He further stated that the event is part of the endeavors being made to this end, and lauded the sub-zonal Administration and the NUEYS branch in Gash-Barka region for their active collaboration in organizing it.

Mr. Daniel Abraha, head of the Union’s sub-zonal branch, indicated that efforts have been made pertaining to the enhancement of the role of youth workers in the organization, and thus giving rise to gratifying outcome in the locality.

Moreover, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, Chairman of the NUEYS, and Mr. Awrelio Jackomino, Administrator of the sub-zone, urged youth workers in the locality to strengthen organization so as to lay strong groundwork for popularization of culture of work and exchange of experience among them. They also expressed the readiness of the respective organizations to collaborate with them.
