Members of Massawa City Council conduct meeting with Administrator of Northern Red Sea region

Members of Massawa City Council conducted meeting with the Administrator of Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis last Thursday following the organization’s reestablishment.

Massawa, 12 July 2014 – Members of Massawa City Council conducted meeting with the Administrator of Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis last Thursday following the organization’s reestablishment.

In the course of the meeting, Ms. Tsigereda stated that the City Council has significant impact as regards raising communal input in the development programs and addressing public demands timely. She further pointed out that the members shoulder responsibility towards ensuring sound management, besides following public issues and entertaining them in due time.

Ms. Tsigerda also expressed the regional Administration’s readiness to collaborate with the City Council, and the participants of the meeting put forth views on a number of issues.

Massawa City Council was reestablished on 14 May this year on the basis of 27 members.
