Youths in Southern region finalize preparations for participating in 6th Youth Festival

The Chairman of the Coordinating Committee in Southern  region, Mr. Tekeste Mekonen, said that preparations for taking part in the 6th Youth Festival have been finalized.

Mendefera, 14 July 2014 – The Chairman of the Coordinating Committee in Southern  region, Mr. Tekeste Mekonen, said that preparations for taking part in the 6th Youth Festival have been finalized.

He also stated that the youths have prepared themselves for various programs, including exhibition, modern and cultural sports, educational contests and camps, among others. Mr. Tekeste further indicated that a total of 230 youths from the region would take part in the Festival.

Mr. Ismael Mohammed-Nur, member of the coordinating committee, noted the vitality of the Festival towards nurturing cultural values among the youth residing inside the country and abroad. He also explained that the youths are highly prepared for traditional and cultural shows.
