Participants of 6th Youth Festival arriving in Sawa

A reporter from the Ministry of Information said that participants of the 6th Youth Festival due to be conducted from 18 to 20 July have begun arriving in Sawa.

Sawa, 17 July 2014 – A reporter from the Ministry of Information said that participants of the 6th Youth Festival due to be conducted from 18 to 20 July have begun arriving in Sawa.

Eritrean nationals residing in the Republic of Sudan, Kenya, South Sudan, Denmark, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, USA, Canada and Australia, as well as citizens residing in the Homeland have arrived so far.

Moreover, Sudanese youth representatives from Kassala region have arrived there, according to the Festival Coordinating Committee.

Among the participants, Ms. Shemainesh Gaim and Noah Mehari stated that they have been engaged in an extensive preparation to take part in the 6th Youth Festival, and expressed appreciation for the effective service provided by Harat Transportation Company.

Youths Thomas Kidane, Mihret Tewolde and Yorsalem Gebretinsae, who traveled from Sudan as a group indicated that traveling across strategic dams and plantations enabled them to get acquainted with the role of the nation’s youths in the ongoing development programs. They further stated that their participation in the Festival would enable them to acquire vital experience.

Festival participants travelling through the Asmara-Keren-Barentu-Haikot route also stated that they got in touch with development programs being implemented.
