Vocational and academic courses provided to nationals at rehabilitation centre making significant impact

Reports indicated that vocational and academic courses being rendered to nationals at Sembel Rehabilitation Centre are making significant impact as regards raising their capacity. This was disclosed at a closing ceremony in connection with the conclusion of the program for 2013/14 academic and vocational scheme at the Centre.

Asmara, 17 July 2014 – Reports indicated that vocational and academic courses being rendered to nationals at Sembel Rehabilitation Centre are making significant impact as regards raising their capacity. This was disclosed at a closing ceremony in connection with the conclusion of the program for 2013/14 academic and vocational scheme at the Centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Maj. Mehari Andebrhan, Commander of the Rehabilitation Centre, said that the courses aimed at raising the capacity of nationals and thereby enable them to improve their livelihood. He further pointed out that the Centre is providing academic lessons ranging from elementary to secondary level, in addition to the various vocational courses offered that comprise Computer maintenance, Graphics, Accounting, Basics of Painting, Electricity installation and languages, among others.

Mr. Berhe Okbazgi, School Director of Sembel Rehabilitation Centre, explained on his part that endeavors are being made with a view to nurturing productive citizens in the rehabilitation centre in collaboration with the Education Ministry through providing higher educational opportunity to members who scored passing mark in the national matriculation exam.
