Southern region: Commendable efforts being exerted towards enhancing teaching-learning process

Commendable efforts are being exerted on the basis of an organized community venture towards enhancing the teaching-learning process in the Southern region where remarkable achievements have been registered .

Mendefera, 19 July 2014 – Commendable efforts are being exerted on the basis of an organized community venture towards enhancing the teaching-learning process in the Southern region where remarkable achievements have been registered . The Education Ministry’s branch in the region made the remark at an assessment meeting which was conducted this week.

In a report he presented at the meeting, Mr. Hibtzgi Kidane, Head of Secondary Education at the branch office, outlined that the strong and weak sides of the efforts made in the course of the academic year 2013/2014, besides underling the need to exert more endeavors in this regard.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the issues reported along with the agenda items.

Mr. Franco Kubaba, Director General of Social Service in the regional Administration, noted the vitality of the active participation of communities and institutions as regards promoting quality of education. He also explained that remarkable achievements could be registered thanks to the higher popular collaboration demonstrated towards reinforcing schools.

Likewise, Mr. Petros Hilemariam, Director General of Human Resource Development at the Ministry of Education, pointed out that a stepped-up effort is being made so as to raise availability of resources for education including expertise.
