Inhabitants of Mai-Habar Administrative area engage in popular undertakings

The inhabitants of Mai-Habar Administrative area, Ghinda sub-zone, are engaging in soil and water conservation activities, as well as renovation of dirt road on the basis of higher communal participation.

Ghinda, 24 July 2014 – The inhabitants of Mai-Habar Administrative area, Ghinda sub-zone, are engaging in soil and water conservation activities, as well as renovation of dirt road on the basis of higher communal participation.

Among the participants, Mr. Husien Mahmud and Ms. Ethiopia Mengisteab said that communal awareness prevails to this end, and stated that they are participating in planting trees, constructing and renovating terraces in an organized manner.

Likewise, Rev. Gerezghiher Hailemariam and Ms. Fatna Mohammed-Shifa explained that the initiative is part of the development programs being implemented across the nation, and expressed readiness to sustain input in this regard.

Mr. Ahmed Omer, Administrator of the Area, pointed out that over 400 people are participating in the undertakings daily, and expressed appreciation for the active participation being demonstrated in the task.
