In line with the endeavors being made in soil and water conservation activities, a water reservoir is under construction in Mihdaf Administrative area, Afabet sub-zone.

Afabet, 24 July 2014 – In line with the endeavors being made in soil and water conservation activities, a water reservoir is under construction in Mihdaf Administrative area, Afabet sub-zone.

Mr. Saleh Idris Ali, in charge of follow-up of the undertaking, said that the water reservoir is expected to meet the growing demand for potable water supply both for humans and livestock, as well as irrigation farming.

Among the community members, Mr. Osman Mohammed Faid and Ms. Bekita Mohammed-Nur stated that the inhabitants are actively participating so as to alleviate the visible water shortage in the locality. They also expressed conviction that the reservoir would make due impact upon its finalization.
