The Health Ministry’s branch and other institutions in the Northern Red Sea region have conducted an assessment meeting on control and follow-up of communicable diseases in the port city of Massawa.
Massawa, 26 July 2014 – The Health Ministry’s branch and other institutions in the Northern Red Sea region have conducted an assessment meeting on control and follow-up of communicable diseases in the port city of Massawa.
The meeting stressed the need to persistent follow-up in all aspects of citizens’ activities, coupled with the necessary treatment against possible infection by communicable diseases. In the event of such infection, the participants of the meeting underlined the necessity of timely action so as to attain the desired outcome.
Mr. Tesfai Tekle, Director General of Social Services in the Northern Red Sea region, stated that so far the incidence of communicable diseases is not visible in the region thanks to the timely and persistent endeavors of health personnel to combat cross border infections.
