Inhabitants of Enjihai engage in soil and water conservation activities

The inhabitants of Engihai Administrative area, Tessenei sub-zone, are engaging in soil and water conservation activities on the basis of higher communal participation.

Tessenei, 29 July 2014 – The inhabitants of Engihai Administrative area, Tessenei sub-zone, are engaging in soil and water conservation activities on the basis of higher communal participation.

The participants stated that the task aims at conserving soil and water resources through constructing terraces and catchment walls in farmlands. Moreover, manpower to the tune of 700 is being deployed on daily basis in the communal venture. They further indicated that the community members are accomplishing the task with enthusiasm so as to raise agricultural output.

Mr. Osman Mohammed, Administrator of the Area, explained that the endeavor is part of the development programs being implemented across the nation through higher popular participation.
