A total of 27 members of the National Police Force, 9 of whom comprising from the Prison and Rehabilitation Center who have been attending a training course at the training center in Dekemhare, graduated yesterday.
Asmara, 1 August 2014 – A total of 27 members of the National Police Force, 9 of whom comprising from the Prison and Rehabilitation Center who have been attending a training course at the training center in Dekemhare, graduated yesterday.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Brig. General Adem Mohammed Kokol, Commander of the Center, said that the trainees are due to prove higher sense of responsibility as regards promoting peace.
Also speaking on the occasion, Maj. Woldegebriel Andegiorgis, head of police academy at the center, stated that the training dealt with public relations, parade, traffic law and other issues, and lauded the enthusiasm of the trainees.
The trainees expressed satisfaction with the program, and asserted that they would serve the citizenry with commitment.
Reports indicate that the Police Force organized various training courses for a total of 90 staff members over the past 3 months.
