Festival of Eritrean community members in Toronto depicts prevalence of higher spirit of nationalism

The Eritrean community members in Canadian city of Toronto and its environs stated that the annual festival they conducted recently depicted prevalence of higher spirit of nationalism and staunch popular resistance against external conspiracies, besides its impact regarding popularization of cultural values.

 

Asmara, 7 August 2014 – The Eritrean community members in Canadian city of Toronto and its environs stated that the annual festival they conducted recently depicted prevalence of higher spirit of nationalism and staunch popular resistance against external conspiracies, besides its impact regarding popularization of cultural values.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Iman, Head of Consular Affairs in Canada, pointed out that the event also portrayed the prevailing peace and stability in the Homeland, and lauded all those who made remarkable contribution as regards its organizing.

Likewise, the chairman of the community’s event coordinating committee said that the active communal participation demonstrated in the event attests to the fact that the societal values remain intact.

The festival witnessed the staging of cultural shows and sports activities involving children as well as youths, among others.
