The National Athletics Team has left for Morocco yesterday to take part in the 19th African Athletics Championship which is due to be conducted from the 10th to 14th of this month.
Asmara, 7 August 2014 – The National Athletics Team has left for Morocco yesterday to take part in the 19th African Athletics Championship which is due to be conducted from the 10th to 14th of this month.
The team comprises 11 athletes, 2 of whom are females, in addition to 2 coaches.
In the course of their departure, Mr. Zemede Tekle, the Eritrean Sports Commissioner, urged the members of the team to prove higher sense of discipline and emerge victorious in the tournament.
Mr. Daniel Woldeyesus, coach, on his part expressed the team’s readiness to strive for vibrant success.
Members of the team have been engaged in intensive training since 18 July.
