Barentu, 8 August 2014 – A total of 59 youths, 26 of whom comprising females, who have been attending a one-year training course as regards Marching Band graduated.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Andemariam Gebremedhin, Director of Administration and Finance in the regional Administration of Gash-Barka, stated that the training was sponsored by the Administration, and lauded all those who made significant contribution in organizing it.
One of the trainers, Mr. Tesfamichael Tiquabo, indicated that the practical and theoretical aspects of the training lasted for 18 months, and that the trainees are in a position to master 12 instruments, besides acquiring the basic principles of the discipline.
A representative of the trainees lauded the initiative taken by the regional Administration, and expressed their readiness to demonstrate commitment in their new career.
Mr. Fisehaye Haile, Administrator of Gash-Barka region, handed awards for the trainees who demonstrated excellence, and in closing remarks advised the members of the team to focus in career development. He also voiced the Administration’s readiness to collaborate with them.
