The National Forestry and Wildlife Authority has called on nationals to step up participation as regards conservation of Wildlife.
Asmara, 8 August 2014 – The National Forestry and Wildlife Authority has called on nationals to step up participation as regards conservation of Wildlife.
Mr. Futsum Hagos, senior wildlife conservation expert in the office, said the fact that the endangered species of the Wild Ass is in a better condition in the country is an asset, and that wildlife is generally in a good shape thanks to the prevalence of peace. In this connection, he advised nationals to resort to diligent mobility so as to avoid attack by wild animals, especially in the areas that are populated by elephants.
The Office also indicated that various seminars and sensitization activities are being conducted with a view to raising communal awareness in this regard.
