Exhibition portraying the history of the armed struggle adding color to the National Eritrean Festival 2014: visitors

Visitors to the National Eritrean Festival 2014 at the Expo compound explained that the exhibition organized by different units of the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front depicting the history of the armed struggle for Eritrean independence is adding color to this year’s national festival.

Asmara, 17 August 2014– Visitors to the National Eritrean Festival 2014 at the Expo compound explained that the exhibition organized by different units of the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front depicting the history of the armed struggle for Eritrean independence is adding color to this year’s national festival.

They said that the exhibition which is presented in the form of pictorial, video and sculpture portraying the daily life of the combatants, gear of the combatants, participation of the population, health and transport services as well as local administration and agitation programs has been very important in raising the knowledge of visitors on the history of the Eritrean armed struggle for independence.

Mr. Zere Gerezgiher, who came from Holland, said that he has been able to observe through the exhibition the life he spent before 20 years with the EPLF units in the field, and called for sustainability of such exhibition with enhanced organization.

Mr. Solomon Tewolde, coordinator of the exhibition, on his part said “The history of the struggle is the history of the Eritrean people”, and called on other units of the EPLF to participate in such noble program in order to transfer the history of the Eritrean people’s struggle for generations.
