Eritrean female student receives academic award in Sudan

Reports indicated that an Eritrean female student, Feven Abebe Gebru, residing in Sudan has received an academic award upon scoring first mark in Secondary Matriculation Exam in that country.

Asmara, 20 August 2014 – Reports indicated that an Eritrean female student, Feven Abebe Gebru, residing in Sudan has received an academic award upon scoring first mark in Secondary Matriculation Exam in that country.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony on August 18 in which the Sudanese Minister of Education, Ambassadors of various countries and invited guests were present, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, Charge d’affair at the Eritrean Embassy in Sudan, said that the mark scored by Feven is an honor for her nation and parents. He further called on the student to exert more endeavors for still more gratifying achievement.

The student also received a special motivational gift from the Eritrean Embassy in Khartoum, in addition to Khartoum- Asmara- Khartoum air ticket.
