The branch of the Health Ministry in the Northern Red Sea region disclosed that efforts being made to promote equitable distribution of health institutions and professionals in the region are bearing encouraging outcome.
Massawa, 25 August 2014- The branch of the Health Ministry in the Northern Red Sea region disclosed that efforts being made to promote equitable distribution of health institutions and professionals in the region are bearing encouraging outcome.
It was indicated that after liberation the formerly limited number of health institutions have witnessed encouraging expansion and that at present over 50 health-rendering facilities are giving vital health service.
Meanwhile, the necessary attention is being given to the task of controlling possible communicable diseases from neighboring countries such as polio and measles, among others.
In general, there exist some 58 health institutions in the Northern Red Sea region and over 440 health professionals, including 26 medical doctors
