Call made on communities to step up participation for national development goals

Heads of the PFDJ branches in Abashawl, Mai-Temenai, Godaif and Sembel sub-zones have called on the general public to step up participation for the realization of national development goals.

Asmara, 02 September 2014 – Heads of the PFDJ branches in Abashawl, Mai-Temenai, Godaif and Sembel sub-zones have called on the general public to step up participation for the realization of national development goals. They made the call at an assessment meeting last Sunday conducted with residents of the sub-zones, during which the branch heads stated that the People’s Front is exerting the necessary effort to nurture the culture of work and keeping intact popular values.

In a report they presented at the meeting, Administrators of the respective sub-zones pointed out that encouraging outcome could be registered in the implementation of national development undertakings thanks to the active role demonstrated by communities. Moreover, higher popular participation in soil and water conservation activities, as well as sensitization campaigns attest to the attainment developed culture on the part of the population, they added.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views in various domains and expressed readiness to enhance role in development endeavors.
