Election conducted in Agodat sub-zone on strengthening sports activities

An election of sports managing directors was recently conducted in Agordat sub-zone with a view to strengthening sports activities, in which sports fans and sports persons participated.

Agordat, 04 September 2014 – An election of sports managing directors was recently conducted in Agordat sub-zone with a view to strengthening sports activities, in which sports fans and sports persons participated.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Teklebrehan Gebrewahid, Administrator of the sub-zone, expressed conviction that the newly elected members would make due contribution in the development of sports in the sub-zone.

The event witnessed the presentation of reports as regards previous accomplishments in the domain. The election of committees that would manage Football, Cycling, Volleyball and Athletics, as well as female sports activities was also conducted.

The participants called on branches of the Education Ministry and the NUEYS, as well as other pertinent bodies to promote the necessary follow-up.
