Mr. Abderhim Idris, the Administrator of Kerkebet sub-zone, explained that the condition of forests and livestock are in good condition as a result of this year’s satisfactory rainfall.
Keren, 7 September 2014 – Mr. Abderhim Idris, the Administrator of Kerkebet sub-zone, explained that the condition of forests and livestock are in good condition as a result of this year’s satisfactory rainfall.
The sub-zone is experiencing good rainfall distribution and as the result trees are in good condition, the livestock are getting enough grazing and dams are holding enough water, and that it is expected that there would be increase of milk and meat production the coming summer.
He further said that the dams being constructed in the sub-zone would have significant contribution in ensuring the availability of water for the residents of the sub-zone and increasing the number livestock and wild animals.
