Central region: Call made on youths to step up participation in national development programs

The inhabitants of five sub-zones in the Central region have called on youths to step up participation in the implementation of development programs.

Asmara, 08 September 2014 – The inhabitants of five sub-zones in the Central region have called on youths to step up participation in the implementation of development programs.

They made the call at meetings last weekend, during which it was stated that the active role of youths in the nation-building process and popularizing cultural values is gaining momentum.

In the respective meetings conducted in Gejeret, Tsetserat, Arba’et-Asmara, Edaga-Hamus and Maekel-Ketema, the Administrators of the sub-zones gave seminars focusing on social, political and economic domains.

They also indicated that the self-reliance policy is making due impact as regards nurturing culture of work, and underlined the need to exert the necessary endeavors to bequeath the nation’s culture to generations.
