Efforts being exerted to put in place basic social services in Adobha sub-zone

Mr. Idris Ali, Administrator of the sub-zone, indicated that strong effort is being exerted to put in place basic social services in Adobha sub-zone, Northern Red Sea region.

Massawa, 14 September 2014 – Mr. Idris Ali, Administrator of the sub-zone, indicated that strong effort is being exerted to put in place basic social services in Adobha sub-zone, Northern Red Sea region.

He further explained that thanks to the efforts made to put in place health and educational services as well as provision of potable water supply the livelihood of the residents has been improving, and that efforts are being exerted to supply potable water to the residents of the administrative areas of Arerib, Kedhat, Midigag and others.

Mr. Idris also stressed that thanks to the ever increasing awareness of the residents with regards health issues the prevalence of communicable diseases has been reducing, and that bare foot doctors have been assigned at the administrative areas of Arerib, Elababu and Kedhat to ensure health of the society.

Likewise, the Administrator elaborated that schools have been built at Hager administrative area and are providing educational services, and in 2014/2015 there is a plan to build a new school aimed at providing educational service to the citizens leading nomadic life, and that school age children would have the opportunity of getting proper education.
