Reinforcing grass root activities described prerequisite towards ensuring Sports development

Reinforcing Sports activities at grass root level have been described a prerequisite towards ensuring sports development in Eritrea.

Asmara, 19 September 2014 – Reinforcing Sports activities at grass root level have been described a prerequisite towards ensuring sports development in Eritrea. This was stressed by the SEISA Japanese sports delegation which conducted a tour in various Eritrean sports institutions.

The delegation received briefings at a meeting yesterday with Ambassador Zemede Tekle, Sports Commissioner, and senior sports officials as regards the sports activities at the national and grass root level.

Mr. Yasuo Miyazawa, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SEISA Group, expressed his country’s readiness to foster bilateral relations and collaboration with Eritrea in the sports domain.

The Japanese sports delegation made a visit of Cicero and Asmara Stadiums, besides observing activities at grass root level, in addition to infrastructure units.
