The inhabitants of Geza-Gobo Administrative area, Mendefera sub-zone, are undertaking renovation of a micro-dam which is the main source for potable water both for humans and livestock in the locality.
Mendefera, 20 September 2014 – The inhabitants of Geza-Gobo Administrative area, Mendefera sub-zone, are undertaking renovation of a micro-dam which is the main source for potable water both for humans and livestock in the locality.
Mr. Tewolde Beraki, Engineer and member of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, stated that the community members are renovating the micro-dam which got crack due to this year’s heavy rainfall with the help of machinery. He also indicated that it has been serving as source of potable water and for agricultural purpose for about 28 years.
Mr. Zemichael Endrias, Administrator of the Area, said that manpower involving 500 individuals is taking part in the process on daily basis. He further called on the pertinent body to enhance collaboration in this regard.
