Hagaz, 22 September 2014 – Reports indicated that the micro-credit and saving program in Hagaz, Mensura and Kerkebet sub-zones is making due contribution as regards improving socio-economic livelihood of nationals and promoting agricultural and trading activities.
Mr. Amine Araya, head of the branch office, said that the objective is to provide credit service to farmers in remote areas, ENWVA members, families patronized by women farmers, owners of small firms, and thereby lead improved living style.
Accordingly, there exist a total of 41 village banks in 29 Administrative areas of the three sub-zones, and that around 11 million Nakfa has been extended to customers over the past 8-months for similar purpose.
