60% participants of National General Examination score passing mark: Report

Mr. Kifle Mekonen, Head of National Examination in the Ministry of Education, indicated that 60% of those who sat for the 2013/2014 National General Examination have scored passing mark.

Asmara, 23 September 2014- Mr. Kifle Mekonen, Head of National Examination in the Ministry of Education, indicated that 60% of those who sat for the 2013/2014 National General Examination have scored passing mark. He stated that females comprise 46% out of the 52 thousand students who participated in the exam.

He told Erina that the number of examination stations has grown by 6%, and that the number of candidates has witnessed significant growth in Anseba, Gash-Barka and Northern Red Sea regions.

Mr. Kifle also explained that the examination was conducted nationwide and in Community Schools in Riyadh as well as Jeddah from June 4 to 5 involving 360 examination stations in four subjects.
