Sensitization campaign being conducted in Gogne sub-zone towards malaria prevention

As part of the endeavors being made with a view to doing away with the instances of malaria in different sub-zones of Gash- Barka region, sensitization campaign is being conducted in Gogne sub-zone.

Gogne, 24 September 2014 – As part of the endeavors being made with a view to doing away with the instances of malaria in different sub-zones of Gash- Barka region, sensitization campaign is being conducted in Gogne sub-zone.

Mr. Bahbelom Tiumzghi, head of Gogne Health Centre, indicated that wide-ranging activities are underway to prevent the incidence of the disease, and that various activities are in the process of taking effect so as to combat possible malaria infection.

The inhabitants said that malaria infection has shown visible decline thanks to the higher community awareness as regards environmental hygiene, besides resort to mosquito nets.
