Foreign Minister hold talks with Egyptian counterpart in New York City

The Eritrean Foreign Minister, Mr. Osman Saleh, who is currently in New York to participate in the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, yesterday held talks there with his Egyptian counterpart, Mr. Sameh Shoukry.

Asmara, 29 September 2014- The Eritrean Foreign Minister, Mr. Osman Saleh, who is currently in New York to participate in the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, yesterday held talks there with his Egyptian counterpart, Mr. Sameh Shoukry.

In the meeting, the two officials conducted discussion focusing on reinforcing Eritrean-Egyptian relations, in addition to regional issues and international developments of interest to both countries. Noting the growing economic ties between Eritrea and Egypt, the two officials agreed to further enhance such relations.

Mr. Osman Saleh has delivered a speech at the Assembly session as regards the challenges being encountered in climate change worldwide and the challenges facing the international community thereof. He also outlined Eritrea’s endeavors aimed at promoting sound ecology.
