Keren, 03 October 2014 – The Minister of Education, Mr. Semere Russom, has called for popular participation in efforts to reinforce progress in education.
He made the call at the closing session of the Conference on Education for All conducted in Keren City. The Minister pointed out that the conference conducted in-depth deliberations on ways and means of creating shared understanding pertaining to the current status of education worldwide and coping with the challenges in the domain.
Mr. Semere went on to outline the scope of activities being pursued towards upgrading the standard of education in the country and expanding educational opportunities including combating illiteracy.
The participants of the conference on their part put forth views towards reinforcing the educational sector in general and the realization of the “Education for All” objectives in particular.
