A training course has been organized in Anseba region with a view to raising the awareness of health workers regarding Ebola Virus which is  posing  threat at global level.

Keren, 07 October 2014 – A training course has been organized in Anseba region with a view to raising the awareness of health workers regarding Ebola Virus which is  posing  threat at global level.

The training focused on the cause of transmission, symptoms and the necessary measures towards prevention of the virus.

Mr. Tsegai Araya, in charge of follow-up of infectious diseases in the Health Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, explained the dire consequences of the virus, and pointed out that over 5 thousand nationals of Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea Conakry and Nigeria have been affected by the disease, while over 1,800 others have died as result of the Ebola Virus.

He went on to explain that persistent control measures regarding Ebola are being resorted to at Air and Sea ports in the country, and as such members of the public  should not entertain undue worry about the disease.
