Asmara, 13 October 2014 – World Population Day was marked in Eritrea on October 11 in the presence of senior government and PFDJ officials, as well as national associations and invited guests.
Speaking at the commemoration day gathering at the Expo grounds that was organized jointly by the NUEYS and the UN Population Agency in Asmara Mr. Salih Ahmedin, Chairman of the NUEYS, explained that the Government is exerting persistent effort to strengthen the competence of youths in the nation-building process.
Similarly, representatives of the UN Agencies here in the capital, Ms. Kristine Umotoni and
Mr. Dan Odalo, that due attention is given to the task of promoting the capacity of youths.
Artistic presentation featured on the occasion reminding societies to attach urgency to avoiding under-age marriage.
