The Secretary of the PFDJ, Mr. Al-Amin Mohammed Seid, yesterday held talks with the First Vice President of the Republic of Sudan, Gen. Bekri Hassan Saleh, on enhancing bilateral relations.
Asmara, 27 October 2014- The Secretary of the PFDJ, Mr. Al-Amin Mohammed Seid, yesterday held talks with the First Vice President of the Republic of Sudan, Gen. Bekri Hassan Saleh, on enhancing bilateral relations.
Speaking on the occasion, the Sudanese official pointed out that Eritrean-Sudanese relations rests on solid ground as it is both historical and people-based. He further indicated that such ties presently stands at the highest level thanks to relations of partnership on the part of both governments.
Likewise, the PFDJ Secretary stated that Eritrean-Sudanese cooperation towards ensuring peace and stability in the Horn region, which has become target of external hostilities and conspiracies, is of decisive significance. In this connection, Mr. Al-Amin said that the prevailing relations of partnership between the two countries provides guarantee to this end.
The PFDJ official went on to stress that the countries in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea Zone, as well as the Nile River Littoral States are duty bound to demonstrate the necessary coordination towards safeguarding the benefit of their respective citizens.
It is to be recalled that Mr. Al-Amin, who is currently in Sudan and participated at the 4th General Congress of the Sudanese Congress Party at the invitation of the party, held talks with a number of senior government officials.
