Asmara, 31 October 2014 – Ms. Fawzia Hasshim, Minister of Justice, stressed the need for active participation of citizens towards the realization of national development goals with a view to building a nation in which social justice prevails. She made the statement at a seminar conducted in Jeddah city for Festival participants of Eritrean community members in the Saudi city and its environs.
Outlining the ongoing strategic development and infrastructure programs in the Homeland, the Minister explained that endeavors are being made to implement national resources for the benefit of the citizenry. As regards food production, Ms. Fawzia stated that bumper harvest is expected this year thanks to the evenly distributed ample rainfall.
Encouraging Eritrean nationals to be the primary beneficiaries of investment opportunities, she pointed out that the necessary legal provisions are put in place that would enable nationals to benefit thereof.
The participants of the Festival expressed readiness to mount concerted action towards the success of national development programs. In closing remarks at the seminar, Mr. Mohammed-Omar Mahmud, the Eritrean Ambassador to Saudi-Arabi, underlined the decisiveness of exerting stepped-up efforts towards building a strong and prosperous nation.
