Central region: Election of local Administrators and managing directors finalized

The election of local Administrators, managing directors and village administrative committees in Berikh, Gala-Nefhi and Serejeka sub-zones has been finalized.

Asmara, 04 November 2014 – The election of local Administrators, managing directors and village administrative committees in Berikh, Gala-Nefhi and Serejeka sub-zones has been finalized.

Mr. Zerit Tewoldebirhan, managing director of the Central region, told Erina that a total of 36 Administrative areas have elected Administrator and managing director each, while 62 villages have elected 3-member village administrative committees. The village inhabitants demonstrated active participation in the process, he added.

Meanwhile, residents of Himbrti semi-urban centre have elected a 7-member council.
