Eritrean community members in Washington D.C and environs have asserted readiness to mount staunch resistance against external conspiracies on the basis of enhanced organization and awareness. They made the pledge at a meeting on November 2.
Asmara, 06 November 2014 – Eritrean community members in Washington D.C and environs have asserted readiness to mount staunch resistance against external conspiracies on the basis of enhanced organization and awareness. They made the pledge at a meeting on November 2.
Mr. Birhane Gebrehiwet, Charge de’ Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy, gave briefings to the meeting participants focusing on the objective economic, political and social situation in the Homeland, as well as the pace of development endeavors. He further stressed the need for preserving and reinforcing the prevailing national unity, and called on the citizens to enhance role towards building a prosperous nation.
The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the explanation given and put fourth views pertaining to various issues.
Meanwhile, accomplishments of the YPFDJ branch in Washington D.C were outlined at the meeting regarding the sending of e-readers and the equipping of Digital Library. To this end, the members raised USD 7 thousand.
